I know you may be struggling to get your book written. I often recommend to my students that they blog their books. There are a lot of advantages to blogging a book, but the reality is that a lot of people struggle to really get their book down on paper.

Here are a couple of quick tips:

1. Establish a routine. You want to get into a significant routine of always writing every day, or at least at the same time every week. A lot of experts recommend that you try seven minutes a day, 10 minutes a day or 15 minutes a day. Whatever it is, make a commitment and do it.

If it was good enough for Mark Twain...

2. Write lying down. It’s been proven that most people are way more creative lying down, so take a notebook or your laptop to bed with you. Actually prop yourself mostly lying down on pillows and write that way. You’ll find that the flow that comes out of you is way more powerful than if you write sitting up.

3. Have fun with it. Writing is a great creative experience, and if you don’t put pressure on yourself, you’ll find your book comes out a lot easier.
